Killick Coast Agriculture Advisory Committee
Taking the agricultural growth initiatives the province has set into consideration as well as the specific needs of our area, our Chamber of Commerce, alongside the support of the Provincial government and Agriculture Strategic Consultant, Sean Dolter of Thistle Ltd., outlined a 5-year plan to strengthen our agriculture sector with a focus on:
- Food self-sufficiency
- Secondary processing
- Value-added agriculture
- Agri-tourism
- Job growth and more
To implement this 5-year strategic plan, a volunteer working group called the the Killick Coast Agriculture Advisory Committee was formed. Their goal is to source the resources required to move this plan forward, liase with policy-makers, residents, agri-business owners and any other stakeholders.
